2009-2010
4-H PROJECT COMMITTEES

Project committees meet

annually in the fall as a group to discuss and plan yearly events.

Individual committee meetings may be set throughout the year as

needed. Committees were established by the

4-H Leaders Association because .

  • Committees allow for youth and adult input

into decision regarding projects and fair classes.

  • Committees necessitate more leader involvement

in the 4-H program, thus serving to strengthen it.

  • New activities can be developed more quickly

    to meet the needs of

    4-H members and leaders.

  • Committees help to make the entire 4-H program

stronger as leaders and members are able to incorporate their

    ideas.

  • Committees give older youth a meaningful

and significant role in 4-H, thus giving them more

ownership and more of a stake in staying with the program.

  • The following committees are now active in

Grant County. They have been busy making plans for the upcoming

year and modifying the fair book to reflect recent project

changes. Encourage your club to become more active in these

committees. Please contact the chair if you have questions

about a particular committee or project they work with. Date

represents when the term as chair ends
